How can I make a reservation with Half Moon Car Service?

What types of vehicles can I reserve?
A:
Half Moon Car Service offers a variety of vehicles which can accommodate from a single passenger to large groups. You can reserve a Luxury Sedan Town Car or a 1-4 Passenger SUV.
Q:
What type of information do I need to provide for the reservation?
A:
We need the pickup date and time, passenger’s names, a contact phone number, pickup address or flight information for airport pickup, destination, how many passengers, and the form of payment. Also, any special requests such as Meet & Greet service, car seats, etc.

Do you check my flight status?
A:
Yes. We will check the arrival time for your flight. As long as you remain on the same airline and flight, you do not need to contact us, we will check the flight. Only in the event that you changed your airline or flight will you need to call us and give us the new information for your pickup.

Where do I meet my driver at the Airport?
A:
– Meet & Greet Service: (Extra fees will apply)
For domestic flight your driver will wait at the baggage claim with the sign, reading your name.
For international flights he will be waiting right outside of customs.– Curbside Meet:
Once you have your entire luggage, please proceed to the Arrival Terminal Exit and go to any pay phone to call toll free # 858-205-0084. We will send your driver in a few minutes to pick you up at curbside and your name will be on a sign by front windshield. If you provided a contact phone number, your driver will contact you directly. Curbside Meet Fees will apply (LAX AIRPORT AND CRUISE SHIP TERMINALS ONLY)Q:
How much am I really paying? What are the hidden charges?
A:
All fares consist of our cash discounted BASIC RATES depending on a one-pickup and one-dropoff location, NOT including driver standard gratuity.
– Cruise ship Terminals and LAX Airport curbside meet fees will apply.
– Credit card payment transaction fees of 4% will apply (You can pay cash to avoid this surcharge)
– (LAX, LGB & SNA) Airports and All Cruise Terminals are subject to $8.00 Toll fees.
– Any requests for additional stops are subject to fees (some restrictions apply).
– A request to meet inside terminal is subject to fees.
– Any changes made during the trip are subject to additional charges (customer must contact office)Waiting time: AIRPORT ARRIVAL 90 Minutes free waiting period from actual time of flight arrival, then $40.00/hr + Gratuity.
– Passengers and luggage to be ready at requested pick up time.
Any changes to trip (arrival flight or pickup date, time, location, city, or airport) must be made at least 24 hours prior to pickup date. Otherwise additional fees will apply.Q:
Does Half Moon Car Service accept credit cards?
A:
Yes. We accept all major credit cards (4% credit card transaction fee will apply). When you book your reservation we obtain approval from the credit card company for our drivers to process credit card payment via our secure App on the run date unless otherwise requested by corporate manager (card not present)
We also accept cash for payment, however we do require a credit card on file to secure your order.

How much driver gratuity should I expect?
A:
Limousine industry works hard to find clean records and courteous drivers so 17-20% gratuity will be added to total.
Q:
Can I book a vehicle for someone else and pay for it?
A:
Yes. You can reserve service for other passengers and pre-pay for it by authorizing Half Moon Car Service to charge the trip to your credit card when you submit the booking.
Q:
How can I get a receipt for my trip?
A:
If you pay by cash, please Email Us and our office will send you a final receipt. If paying by a credit card, your receipt is the invoice that you will receive by email. And of course, you can always request a reservation receipt by emailing our office.
Q:
Will Half Moon Car Service call me when the vehicle has arrived at my pickup location?
A:
Yes. Our drivers or dispatchers will call you when your driver arrives at the specified pickup location.

What happens if I don’t see my driver?
A:
If you don’t see your driver, please call us immediately at 858-205-0084, so that one of our dispatchers can get in touch with the driver and help you to locate each other.
Q:
Does Half Moon Car Service offer car seats for children?
A:
Yes. There is a $10.00 charge per seat for this service, as we can’t have car seats stored in the vehicles. The driver will have to travel to our office, pick up the proper seat and go to your pickup location.

Does Half Moon Car Service allow pets in the vehicles?
A:
Yes. A small pet is allowed in a sedan, provided it’s in a proper kennel or carrier. Otherwise a Van should be ordered.
Q:
Does Half Moon Car Service offer a shared-ride service?
A:
No, Half Moon Car Service does not offer share-ride services at this time. We currently provide Door-to-Door, Non-Stop, and Non-Share-Ride Services.
Q:
Do I have to call Half Moon Car Service to confirm after I get a confirmation email?
A:
No, when you receive a confirmation by email, it would be a final confirmation.
Q:
I think my credit card was charged twice for one ride. What should I do?
A:
Some banks show pre-authorizations the same way they show charges (commonly referred to as captures), but only credit card charges actually take money. Half Moon Car Service reserves funds on your card with a pre-authorization when you make your booking, but the card is only charged 24 to 48 hours before your ride. This common practice is also used by hotels and rental car companies. Please contact your bank for more information. If you have further questions, contact our Customer Care team.

How will I recognize my driver at the airport or cruise terminal?
A:
For Airport Pickups, we offer meet and greets. Your Half Moon Car Service driver will be waiting for you at the exit after baggage claim with a personalized pickup sign. For Curbside pickups, the meeting point can be found in the email containing your booking confirmation.

How can I make a complaint?
A:
